Hello and welcome to JeweledSteel.com. I'm David Broussard, an artist and sculptor in Dallas, Texas. I work mostly with carbon steel and I make Christian sculptures, wall art mirrors and handmade jewelry, but I'm best known for my Christian wall crosses. Before I began to make wall crosses, wall art mirrors and Christian sculptures I had been a hairstylist for more than 30 years and a professional musician. In 1999, I was looking for something to fulfill my life in the new millennium and I prayed. I asked God to provide a new gift that I could use to honor Him and spread the gospel in a prosperous venture and I told Him the desire of my heart was a new dimension to my life that I would enjoy as much as music.

I later took a welding class, made a cross, displayed it in my salon and someone bought it. After several more crosses sold I realized this was my new gift from God! For more about my story, go to About David.

What makes my Christian wall art and Christian cross jewelry unique is how they are made. The steel crosses, steel mirrors and handmade Christian jewelry are all polished and textured to reflect light and create a 3D or holographic-like effect. The wall crosses are two dimensional but the texture that gives the steel crosses the hammered design, swirls and other patterns also makes the Christian wall crosses look like one area is floating on another area. The wall crosses and wall art mirrors are finished with a clear powder-coating, which gives it visual depth and it creates a glossy, glass-like surface.

The crosses, steel mirrors, Christian cross jewelry and steel sculptures are sold at art festivals almost every weekend of the year. Four days at the beginning of every month, my work is sold at the world famous First Monday Trade Days in Canton, Texas. Also, the largest state fair in the United States showcases my Christian wall art for 24 days every Fall at the State Fair of Texas. One of my sculptures, "Three Nails", has recently been commissioned to become a permanent fixture in The Coming King Sculpture Garden in Kerrville, Texas. The prayer garden, built on a large hillside, will also feature my five-foot masterpiece, "One Nation Under God", a Star of David with a grafted cross of 613 nails. The sculpture garden development project is getting a lot of media attention, as it plans to erect a 77' 7" cross at the peak of the hill.
