I'm David Broussard, an artist and sculptor in Dallas, Texas. My flame-painted steel Christian wall crosses are polished, textured and then colored with a blowtorch. The hotter the temperature of the steel, the darker the color becomes. The Christian wall crosses can turn silver, amber, blue and purple in a palette of beautiful color. They are finished with a clear powder-coating that gives the surface of the steel crosses a glossy, glass-like effect. It also adds depth to the design, to look 3D or holographic.
I was a full-time hairstylist when I made my first cross, hung it in my salon and someone asked to buy it. One of my favorites is the meaning of the Infinity Cross which is one of the first steel crosses I made nearly 10 years ago. The inspiration for this cross is a quote from Corrie ten Boom. She survived the holocaust, became a famous author and once said, "There is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still."
